Stumbled on this one trying to get away from the busier areas. Noticed their sign at the bottom of the hill. Run by volunteers, friendly, good value and food (brie and bacon in granary bun), plus coffee tea and cake all tasty. Limited opening days so check first, we just happened to go on a Friday (11/07/25) and it was open. Generally it's Friday & Saturdays at present but as I say, check ahead.

A wonderfully homely cafe overlooking Gorran Haven, with friendly service. After a walk down the coastal path we had delicious brownies, lemon polenta cake served in vintage plates, and a pot of tea with the BEST hand-knitted autumn-themed tea cosy (the lady we spoke to knits cosies themed to each season for the cafe and customers to buy). Loved it!

We called in on the first day of the season and we could not have been made more welcome. From the scones to the beautifully crafted tea cosies, it was everything a couple of ramblers could wish for. This cooperative-owned community cafe serves a fabulous cream tea and makes outstanding bacon and egg baps. The coffee cake deserves a special mention too.

Absolute gem of a find. Location is superb, close to the centre but just outside the hustle of Gorran Haven. Quiet with excellent views. Food and cake excellent and fair pricing. Staff are lovely and all volunteers - proceeds go back to the community. Dog friendly and allowed us to fill our water bottles and clean water bowl provided for dogs. Can’t rate it highly enough. .

Really friendly and cheerful staff, gorgeous tea cosies, deliciously fresh bacon baps, beautiful views are a few reasons why we visit this cafe in Gorran Haven which is run by volunteers every year. This year we added scrumptious local honey to our list of reasons to be cheerful about this little treasure. Thank you to all involved.
